Spring Dresses

Hello!

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great week and is going to have an even better weekend! Today's post is about spring's most flattering dresses for every shape. Whether you're athletic (like me), lean, curvy, petite, boyish or busty there is a perfect spring dress for you, just keep reading!!

1. Athletic: stick to dresses with minimalistic and architectural structures, but don't be afraid to risks here and there, try cutouts like below.

2. Lean: try classy pieces, that are fitted, which is fashion-forward, flattering, and appropriate for both a day and night. Don’t be afraid of prints, which add a bit of depth to your slender frame and won't overpower you.

3. Curvy: For a curvier figure, try dresses that stick to one or two colours. The shape should be one that cinches in at the waist, and in a style that hits right below the knee

4. Petite:  If you have a petite shape, try wearing girly, flowery looks and layers, mixed textures, or bright colours.

5. Boyish: Try new things and don’t be afraid to change it up, your narrow frame gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to silhouettes.

6: Busty: when choosing dresses for spring, focusing on modest v-necks that show just enough skin, narrowed waists, and flared hemlines.

Hopefully this guide helps you find the perfect dress for your shape!

How to: Perfect Beach Waves

Hello fashionistas!

As summer approaches it is important to know how to create the seasons hottest hair trend: beach waves. It can be difficult, but this guide will help you get the perfect hair for summer, whether you have straight, wavy, or curly hair, and if you are actually going to the beach or not!

Bumble and bumble. Surf Spray, $25
Straight: Wash hair and let air dry, then apply a texturizing spray. With a medium sized curling iron, take 2-inch sections of hair and wrap it around the barrel. You don't want your hair to look too perfect so take messy sections. After the curls cool, finger comb and spritz in more texturizing spray if needed.

A good product to try for texturizing spray is Bumble and bumble surf spray, $25 sephora.com

Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls, $22, missjessies.com

Wavy: Start with day-old locks for a little extra texture. If you want to get tousled waves fresh out of the shower, apply a curl cream, put your hair in a loose bun, let it dry, then touch up any flat sections with a large barrel curling iron. Flip your head upside down, spray all over with a texturizing spray, and lightly scrunch the curls with your hands!

Curly: Blow out your hair with a round brush to straighten your hair out a bit before creating the waves. Apply an anti-frizz serum before you grab your blow dryer, so summer humidity won’t ruin your look. Then, use a medium-sized curling iron to create loose waves and add a surf spray for texture.
Try Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Extra-Strength Forula, $9, drugstore.com

Marc Anthony Beach Waves spray, $10,
amazon.com
There you have it! How to get the perfect beach waves no matter what type of hair you have. Click here for the full article from Seventeen Magazine.

Personally, after I wash my hair I scrunch it with Marc Anthony Beach Waves spray, then, when my hair is still slightly damp, I tie it in a loose bun. Once I take it out...BAM... perfect beach waves!
I recommend that if you aren't happy with your beach waves, watch a couple of youtube videos, they are always super helpful!

Thanks for reading today's post and I hope it was helpful!
Have a great day, and see you next time!

Sunday Fun-Day

Hello fashion lovers!

How is your weekend? Mine is great! I started reading a new book yesterday: #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso, the founder and CEO of Nasty Gal. I'm only four chapters in, but it is already so inspirational and I love it! If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

Reading the book made me look up Nasty Gal, at the time I was on my phone, so sure enough there was a Nasty Gal up that popped up. I decided to get the app, but then I search for other fashion apps, and Polyvore came up. And that's what today's blog post is about!

"Polyvore is a community powered social commerce website" - Wikipedia

It's basically a website where you can view and share fashion inspiration and ideas. The website has all these different tops, jackets, skirts, shorts, pants, shoes, accessories, etc. showing the price and the store to buy it at and you can use all these different items to make "sets".
As you can see to the below, you can get awesome styling ideas, see the latest trends, or even search for products you love.
This app is so much fun and the best part is that it's free!
I'll show you a few of the top sets below. A set is essentially an outfit all put together by other users and you can like their sets and follow them. It's like and Instagram just for fashion!

These are just a few examples of what you can do on this app! If you love fashion and playing with different looks this is definitely something you should look into. Even you you just need some outfit inspo, I would recommend this app! Click here to get the app for iPhone!

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed today's post!
See you next time!

P.S. You should also read #GIRLBOSS

Thrifty Thursday

Hey fashion lovers!

It's Thursday, you know what that means???
It's Friday tomorrow! Yay!
But let's slow down because its thrifty Thursday!

Sorry today's post is so late, I just got back from the store, but I can't wait to share with all of you what I bought!

Every Thursday my mom and I go to the thrift store... which is always so much fun because the deals are amazing plus the proceeds help your community, and thrifty treads are one of the latest fashion trends thanks to Macklemore's Thrift Shop...

So that being said, I wanted to share with you guys my latest haul!

Word of Mouth Tank - $2.99
Tresics Lace T-Shirt - $2.99
JC Fits, Inc. - $2.99
Garage Floral Crop Top - $2.99
Seductions Lace Crop Top - $5.99

Urban Heritage Shorts - $4.99
Garage Cargo Shorts - $4.99
Garage Striped Shorts - $4.99
As you can see my summer wardrobe is basically done and for a fraction of the actual cost, the best part is no one else will have these items because they're vintage, by that I mean you probably couldn't find any of them in a retail store!

So if you're is desperate need of some new items in your wardrobe but don't have all the cash you need, go to the nearest thrift store... you'll be amazed at how much you can buy for just 20 bucks!

That's it for today! Have a great night and see you tomorrow!!
